‘Last Step’

This piece is part of my Odyssey collection.
It is inspired by the final moment of Odysseus’ long journey, when he finally reaches Ithaca after years of wandering. A small human figure lies on the shore, surrounded by the vastness of the sea and land, highlighting the scale of the journey and the solitude of the hero.
The blue tones of the sea gradually fade into lighter shades toward the shore, creating a sense of calm after chaos. The textured surface, created using toilet paper sealed with glossy varnish, enhances the movement of the water and adds a three-dimensional quality to the piece.
