It shows Odysseus after leaving Calypso's island. Poseidon makes a big storm and his raft breaks. He struggles in the sea for three days, tired and naked, until th goddess Leucothea gives him a magical veil that saves him. He finally reaches the shore of Scheria (the land of the Phaeacians). The sea is made from toilet paper with glossy varnish, and the mountains are made from foam. Everything is handmade except for the figure of Odysseus.
